100-227 – Freddie Mercury at Sunbury Music Festival, 1974

$250.00

Freddie Mercury performing at Sunbury in January 1974. This was the band’s first overseas concert, and the first international act at Sunbury. Initially well received, the crowd turned on the band after they took a short break, forcing them to leave the stage. Freddie Mercury famously said that when Queen returned to Australia it would be the biggest band in the world. The band did return to Australia in 1975, as superstars.
